How do I clean old lace? This is a 85. old christening gown / dress!?

This reserve has been purchased Belgium on the turn of the century, my grandfather. lace dress christening my grandmother why my mother. Each family member (20) were baptized in that dress. However, very dirty and it has yellow spots on his shirt and cambric cotton bra. I have two pieces of lemon soaked in hot water and clean now "as usual"! Due to the sensitive nature, I am not sure whether to use Dreft or Another thing may be safer. I really need help soon! This is for my mother greatgrandchild - the original person to be baptized in it. Please hurry!

Hello, Please Do not wash your clothes. My daughter did this to my dress chistening and ruined. But it grated. My advice is to take a professional to restore lace, satin and articles. Perhaps a bit expensive, but at least have charish gown restoration can continue.
